I will be the God that sees all

by Regis Boff

Privilege is amplified by the number of television stations you can receive. During the reign of the Networks, we were at best dull beasts content to work our experiential fields with hoes, and the occasional horse pulled plow.
My Gold Plan with Cablevision sets me aloof. My remote is longer. I do not participate in broadcast “real-time.” I soar through “The Game of Thrones.” like a haughty dragon aware that the peasants with their “silver plans” fear and loathe me. I know how shows end before they do, and this is power.
Our nation is racing towards the viewing singularity, that instant when all things ever recorded is at our fingertips. Very soon, I will be finally free to miss nothing.
I will be the God that sees all.
