Don’t expect a “Good job ” from Donald Trump

by Regis Boff

The National weariness over trophies being awarded for sexuality, historical misfortune, and gender jealousy is a major contributor to the recent success of Donald Trump. It also accounts for Madame Clinton’s coming humiliation.
It is easy to coddle but difficult to insist that survival is not as simple as repeating over and over, “good job.”
Trump appears to be inclined to ask a simple question, ” Are we, as a country, valuable enough to ourselves to tell the rest of the world to go fuck themselves?” I believe we are. Our population needs to get a grip on reality. Life is not advertising, media provocations, soap operas, sensationalism, or political party allegiance.
Trump, whether he wins or not, is doing us a service because he refuses to give out awards for failure. It is high time we became the parents who are not afraid to tell our children the truth.
