The Steelers

by Regis Boff

This football season has become a reduction sauce of allegiances.I have the Steelers because I was born there. I have the Giants because I live here. I have the Patriots because I rail against the profit that comes with destroying heroes.I have the Broncos because of Peyton Mannings ‘s old fashioned broken nose. Eventually, because this season has been very hard on me I am left with the condensation of the color of certain uniforms to cheer for. I am not so much a sympathetic man or one who hides much because of the weaknesses of the stomachs of those around me. So last week when my Steelers went paws up and the Broncos lost I turned to the old sense of humor that Nagasaki must have relied on after Hiroshima became a shitstorm of atomic flame. I just said,”Really?”
