I know how self-centered I am when it comes to political distraction. The first two years of the Trump Administration have kept me giddily diverted. I feel that I owe him a great deal and the least I can do is acknowledge this here. Being a Trumper, I do not spend my days worrying about his policy decisions. They are all correct and well-reasoned.
On down days, and everyone has them, I have found that I can sustain happily on a strict diet of Democrat glumness. What I fret about and where I have a kindred spirit with all over the top enthusiasts is from where my next fix is going to come?
Without emotion, this leads me to impeachment. As Allen Ginsberg wrote in “Howl,” …”I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked,
dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix…”. It could be me. We may need to get rid of him to keep me entertained.
